Figured Walnut Bowl with a Natural Edge

This bowl is made from a very unique piece of highly figured walnut crotch. The grain, shape and natural markings are spectacular both inside and outside of the bowl. The natural edge of the bowl further enhances it. This piece of walnut was turned with an uplifted sides to really showcase the wood grain from all angles. The approximate size is 8 1/4 by 12 1/4 by 6 1/4 inches tall. Multiple coats of lacquer were applied to preserve the wood. This piece is definitely a conversation piece, whether on the dinner table or displayed on its own. I signed the bottom of the bowl, which also features the type of wood used.

These beautiful hand turned bottle stoppers make a great Christmas gift for any occasion or used for personal use. I hand prepare each block of corian and then hand turn each piece to different designs. Each bottle stopper has its own unique design and in some I also incorporated a concho. The stopper itself is made from high grade stainless steel and tapered so it can be used for other applications besides wine and oil. The bottle stopper handle is highly polished can be unscrewed for ease of cleaning. Definitely a conversation piece. N. Beautiful hand turned bottle stoppers that would make a great gift for any occasion. The stopper itself is made from high grade stainless steel and tapered so it can be used for other applications besides wine and oil. The wooden handle can be unscrewed and detached from the stainless steel stopper for ease of cleaning. Different wood species were glued together and then turned to form an elegant and hand comfortable bottle stopper. The finished product is sprayed with Lacquer to preserve and show the beauty of the wood. The bottle stoppers are unique as no two are alike.

This is a beautiful piece of Walnut that has spectacular grain and color variation. This platter measures 10 inches by 14 inches by 1 1/2 inches. To add to the aesthetics this Platter features an arc both on the horizontal and vertical planes. Both the beads on the front and the coves on the back are narrower as they get smaller so your eyes are drawn to the center. Several coats of Satin Lacquer have been applied to protect the wood.

This Highly Figured Walnut Bowl has a Natural Edge that makes it one of a kind. It measures 11 inches by 15 inches by 3 1/2 inches tall. Also included are 5 wooden spheres that I hand turned from different woods, Walnut, Maple, Cherry Burl and Choke Cherry. Multiple coats of Lacquer have been applied to protect and enhance the beautiful grain and Natural Edge. This combination is a perfect setup for a center piece which will definitely be a conversation piece.
