Textured Cherry Vase with Iridescent Paints and Finial

This is a beautiful vase made from Cherry wood and was hollowed out to approximately 1/4″ wall thickness. This vase measures 5 inches in diameter by 11 inches tall. After the vase was turned, shaped and sanded both inside and outside, the outside was textured and painted with black lacquer. The colored portion of the vase was textured using pyrography method and iridescent paints were applied to make this texturing pop. A delicate finial, which is removable, was added to further enhance the beauty of this piece. Multiple coats of lacquer were applied to protect the wood and the paints. Whether displayed at home or given as a gift for a wedding, friend or a house warming, this vase will definitely make a statement.

Walnut and Hickory Christmas Tree Globe ornament. The Globe which is made from Hickory, measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter and has been turned to achieve a uniform wall thickness. The top and bottom finials are turned from dark walnut, and the overall length is approximately 7 1/2 inches. The Christmas Tree is set in a snow scenario to further create that Christmas scene. Multiple coats of a Satin Lacquer Finish are applied. These ornaments were all created personally in my own shop. I make sure that the fit, finish and presentation of these ornaments are of the highest quality and with no flaws. These ornaments can be displayed on a stand, as shown, or hanging on a Christmas Tree. A brass eyelet is inserted on the top finial for ease of hanging. Will make a perfect gift whether for oneself or that special friend.

Sea Urchin Ornament with Metallic Gold Paint Finials #418

This is a Sea Urchin Ornament with two Finials. The size and shape of the Finials are turned to compliment the shape of the Sea Urchin. The overall dimensions vary from 2 1/2 inches diameter by 8 inches long to 2 inches diameter by 6 1/2 inches long. The Sea Urchin is filled with foam to make it more sturdy and a dowel is used to glue the two Finials together. Different processes are used to color the Finials and multiple coats of Gloss Polyurethane are applied.
