Textured Cherry Vase with Iridescent Paints and Finial

This is a beautiful vase made from Cherry wood and was hollowed out to approximately 1/4″ wall thickness. This vase measures 5 inches in diameter by 11 inches tall. After the vase was turned, shaped and sanded both inside and outside, the outside was textured and painted with black lacquer. The colored portion of the vase was textured using pyrography method and iridescent paints were applied to make this texturing pop. A delicate finial, which is removable, was added to further enhance the beauty of this piece. Multiple coats of lacquer were applied to protect the wood and the paints. Whether displayed at home or given as a gift for a wedding, friend or a house warming, this vase will definitely make a statement.

Unique Box Elder Vase with Iridescent Paint Pattern

This is a Box Elder vase that measures 6 inches in diameter by 10 1/4 inches tall. The wall thickness is approximately 3/8″ and the inside is finished as well. Both the inside and outside were colored with black lacquer. The outside features a band of a unique pattern. Iridescent paints were used and are all hand painted. Also, two gold borders were added to further enhance this design. This is one of a kind vase shape, proportions and the enhancements with the touch of gold makes this vase very personal. Multiple coats of lacquer were applied to protect the wood and the enhancements. I signed the bottom of the vase which also features the species of wood used. Will definitely make a statement wherever it is shown. Will also make a great gift, whether it is a wedding, friend or a house warming.

Cherry Disk with Iridescent Paints

This 10 inch diameter Cherry Disk is supported by two brass rods on a base that is routed with an ogee pattern. Iridescent Paints were applied through a special process to achieve this one of a kind look. A textured Medallion draws your eye towards the center of the piece. Multiple coats of gloss polyurethane are applied to protect the embellishments and wood. Definitely a conversation piece.

Box Elder Platter with Iridescent Paints

This Box Elder Platter measures 11 by 1 1/2 inches. Various colors of Iridescent Acrylic Paints have been applied to give this magnificent one of a kind look. The Bowl and back of the Platter are left as natural wood to achieve the desired contrast. The back of the Platter features an ogee design to compliment the front. Multiple coats of High Gloss Polyurethane have been applied to achieve this outstanding result. Definitely a conversation piece whether displayed on a stand or hanging on a wall.

This is a 10 inch by 10 inch Cherry Vase which has been hollowed out and a removable finial added. Three colors of Iridescent Paints, Turquoise, Blue and Gold were applied with a special process to obtain this one of a kind result. Several coats of Gloss Polyurethane gives this vase a spectacular look which will definitely make a conversation piece.

This is a 14 1/2 inch Cherry Platter that has been turned and the rim is colored with iridescent paints which are applied using a special process. The back of the platter has a beautiful ogee design. The colored rim is further enhanced by framing it with a black border.
