Textured Cherry Vase with Iridescent Paints and Finial

This is a beautiful vase made from Cherry wood and was hollowed out to approximately 1/4″ wall thickness. This vase measures 5 inches in diameter by 11 inches tall. After the vase was turned, shaped and sanded both inside and outside, the outside was textured and painted with black lacquer. The colored portion of the vase was textured using pyrography method and iridescent paints were applied to make this texturing pop. A delicate finial, which is removable, was added to further enhance the beauty of this piece. Multiple coats of lacquer were applied to protect the wood and the paints. Whether displayed at home or given as a gift for a wedding, friend or a house warming, this vase will definitely make a statement.

Dyed Maple Vase

This Maple Vase measures 8 inches diameter by 14 inches tall. The inside was hollowed out to a uniform thickness and smoothed out. Different dye colors were applied to further bring out the beauty of the Maple grain. Multiple coats of Gloss Polyurethane protect the dyes and the Maple wood. Definitely a conversation piece.

Box Elder Vase with Basket Illusion Band

This beautiful piece of Box Elder measures 6 1/2 inches in diameter by 12 inches tall and was hollowed to a uniform smooth thickness. The Band is beaded, pyrographed and a Basket Illusion design was colored using India Ink. Multiple coats of UV Protection Finish are applied to protect the embellishments and Box Elder wood. Definitely a conversation piece.

Hickory Vase

This Hickory Vase measures 8 inches diameter by 8 inches tall. The grain in this Vase is unique and adds a lot of character the design of this Vase. The Vase is hollowed out to a uniform thickness. The collar and Finial, (which is removable), are dyed to further compliment the design of this piece. Several coats of Satin Lacquer Finish protect the dye and the Hickory. Definitely a conversation piece.

Beech Vase

This Beech Vase measures 5 1/2 inches by 8 1/2 inches tall. This grain and spalting in this Vase is spectacular and makes one of a kind and unique. The Vase is hollowed out to a uniform thickness of 3/8 inch. The collar and finial, (which is removable), are painted black using India Ink. Multiple coats of Semi Gloss Polyurethane were applied to protect this beauty.

Choke Cherry Vase with Basket Illusion Band

This is a Basket Illusion Choke Cherry vase and measures 7 inches diameter by 11 inches tall. The Vase was hollowed out to a smooth inside and uniform wall thickness. To further enhance this beauty, a Basket Illusion Band Pattern was pyrographed and colored using India Ink. Multiple coats of Satin Lacquer Finish were applied to protect the wood and embellishments. Truly a conversation piece.

Box Elder Vase

This is a Box Elder Vase that measures 9 inches diameter by 6 1/2 inches tall. The flaming red colour on the piece makes it one of a kind. The Vase was hollowed out to a uniform thickness of around 3/8 inch. Bloodwood was used for the Collar to compliment the wood color. Several coats of Clear UV protection Finish were applied to protect the wood. Definitely a conversation piece.

Maple Vase with Lichtenberg embellishments

This is a Maple Vase that measures 5 inches diameter by 13 inches tall. A process called Lichtenberg was applied to achieve this beautiful and intricate burn design. The Vase was hollowed out to a uniform thickness and then bleached to lighten the wood color. The finial, which is removable, collar and base are all dyed black. Multiple coats of Satin Lacquer Finish were applied to protect the Maple and Embellishments. Definitely a conversation piece.

Dog Burial Urn

This Dog Burial Urn was a Commissioned Piece that was gifted to my niece and measures 6 inches by 9 inches tall. The Vase is hollowed out to a uniform thickness and the finial, which is removable, is threaded in the collar of the vase. The dogs name "Mari" was Laser Engraved for that one of a kind memorable piece. Multiple coats of Satin Lacquer were applied to protect the wood and embellishments.
