Figured Walnut Bowl with a Spalted Maple Lid and a Pyrographed Celtic Knot.

A unique bowl with a lid. The bottom is made from a beautiful piece of highly figured walnut and the top is made from a piece of spalted maple. This box measures 9 inches in diameter by 5 inches tall. A celtic knot was designed and hand burned on the lid which fits in a recess on the bowl. Multiple coats of lacquer were applied to protect the wood and the embellishments. The bottom of the bowl is signed by me and also the type of wood used. This is definitely a conversation piece whether displayed on its own or a collection.

Oak Burl Wood Sculpture with Carving/Texturing and Embellishments

A beautiful piece of Oak Burl was used for this exceptional piece. The natural shape of the kept and enhanced with different textures, carvings and several different colored dyes were applied. A gilt cream was also applied to the outside rim carving to highlight the darker green color underneath. The center and back of the burl were left in their natural color to show the beauty of the wood. Multiple coats of lacquer were applied to preserve the wood and the different embellishments. This piece will showcase very well and make a conversation piece whether displayed on a horizontal surface or hanging on a wall as a wall sculpture.

Textured Cherry Vase with Iridescent Paints and Finial

This is a beautiful vase made from Cherry wood and was hollowed out to approximately 1/4″ wall thickness. This vase measures 5 inches in diameter by 11 inches tall. After the vase was turned, shaped and sanded both inside and outside, the outside was textured and painted with black lacquer. The colored portion of the vase was textured using pyrography method and iridescent paints were applied to make this texturing pop. A delicate finial, which is removable, was added to further enhance the beauty of this piece. Multiple coats of lacquer were applied to protect the wood and the paints. Whether displayed at home or given as a gift for a wedding, friend or a house warming, this vase will definitely make a statement.

Eastern Red Cedar Bowl with Natural Edge

This is a highly figured Eastern Red Cedar bowl with great color variations. The shape, color variations and bark inclusion of the natural edge makes this bowl unique and one of a kind. The dimensions for this bowl are 6 inches by 11 1/4 inches and multiple coats of lacquer spray were applied to protect the wood and natural edge. This bowl is all natural and no dyes or stains have been added.Whether displayed on on the dinning room table of displayed on its own, this bowl will definitely make a statement and be a conversation piece. Also this red cedar bowl will make a great gift whether it is a wedding, a friend or a house warming gift. I signed the bottom of the bowl which also shows the type of wood used.

Choke Cherry Box with Lid

This is a beautiful choke cherry box with lid. Choke cherry has a very unique grain pattern, which makes this box very pleasing. Decorative patterns on the inside of the lid and bottom of box makes this box complete. This box measures 6 1/4″ by 3 1/4 “. Several coats of lacquer where added to protect and preserve the wood. I signed the bottom which also shows the type of wood used.

Apple Wood Trinket Box/Bowl with Lid

Apple Wood was used for this very elegant box with lid. Both the inside and the outside of the box are completely finished and smooth. Several beads have been turned to make the already beautiful Apple wood pop. Several coats of lacquer finish have been sprayed to preserve the wood. I signed the bottom of the bowl which also features the kind of wood used for this piece.

Box Elder Bowl with Natural Edge

This is a natural edge box elder bowl that has a lot of flaming red character. The natural edge compliments the already spectacular wood grain. This bowl measures 6 1/2″ by 15 1/4″. Several coats of lacquer finish were applied to protect the the wood.

Cherry Embellished Disk

This 10 inch Cherry Disk is mounted on a Maple base with two brass rods. A process called Lichtenberg was used to create this random pattern. A graduating color called Ombre was applied to obtain this unique Oriental look. A Medallion in the center of the disk draws your eye to the center. Several coats of Satin Lacquer finish protect the embellishments and the wood.

Figured Walnut Platter

This is a 12 inch walnut platter that has been turned, beaded and pyrographed. The carved areas were bleached to a lighter color to further enhance the overall design look. This spectacularly grained walnut platter will make a statement whether displayed on a stand or wall hanging. Multiple coats of lacquer was applied to give this platter a smooth satin finish.
