Cherry Textured Hollow Vase with Finial

This Cherry Hollow Form Vase measures 5 inches by 10 1/2 inches tall.  After the vase was hollowed, the outside wall was textured and Black Gesso applied.  The ridges of the texturing were further enhanced by applying bronze highlights.  The collar of the vase was left natural to show the grain of the wood.  The removable cherry finial is also painted with a bronze metallic finish.  Several coats of Satin Lacquer protect the wood and embellishments.
